If everything the Watchtower Society is teaching today is true would it mean that it is NOT God's organization?

Why? Why not?If everything the Watchtower Society is teaching today is true would it mean that it is NOT God's organization?
That is correct, they were found by God to be the only Christian Organization that was teaching and giving the right spiritual food at the right time. This was in 1919, however, their teaching, in a nut shell was Jesus' invisible presence was in 1874 and they were worshiping Jesus, celebrating Christmas, Thanksgiving and Birthdays among other things. They didn't change the 1874 invisible Presence till at least 1923, 4 years after God choosing them as God Organization. So they were going door to door knocking and teaching the things I listed above. So they didn't have the right teaching and the were not watching for Jesus as in Luke 12 or Matthew 24, it would be good for the Master to find you watching as he will put you in charge. They wouldn't have been watching as they thought that Jesus presence was in 1874 so in 1914 they would not have been watching. Nor in 1874 they were not watching as they didn't know until 1876. Also Acts 1: tells us very clearly that Jesus will come back the same way he left. which was with someone watching and seeing him go up. So if they saw him going up they would see him coming down.

Great question!! If everything the Watchtower Society is teaching today is true would it mean that it is NOT God's organization?
You ask some seriously loaded questions, and I like it!!!!!!!

If what they are teaching today is true, then a whole lot of what they used to teach wasn't true, which means they are based on a religion that wasn't true to begin with, and thus most likely isn't teaching what is true today after all.

But, if it it is true Today, then God wasn't using them when their teachings were not true, which keeps them in the valley of double-speak.
That is like arguing the Apostles were not part of God's organization because they did not understand that Christ was not going to be King or establish his kingdom right after his resurrection.

Or that when the Christians were strictly made up of Jews, that they were not because they were being ';racist'; and not allowing the Gentiles into the congregation.

Each of the above ';errors'; was corrected by information and direction of the holy spirit.

So to today. As we progress in knowledge and understanding of events in the stream of time, we are lead by the spirit to understand how these relate to the scriptures.

This is a result of the ';faithful and discreet slave'; being lead to ';provide the food at the proper time';. Since we trust that Christ can direct the slave with this food, (He has been granted all authority) we have every reason that we are part of the organization that God is using today.
The Current Watchtower Society is so far removed from the way that Russell groomed his new religion to be, he would not even recognize it.

Desert Rose: You loose your numbers in membership to your Society at such a large rate that you gain practically nothing. What you do in the process is screw up the minds of those that leave to such a degree that many of them become atheist or so afraid of seeking out true faith in Christ, they are so afraid when they leave that they won't even step one foot into a real Christian Church.

Matthew 7:15 Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.

Matthew 23:15 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye compass sea and land to make one proselyte, and when he is made, ye make him twofold more the child of hell than yourselves.
No. The Watchtower teaches that it is God's organization; so ';everything that it teaches'; would include the teaching that it's God's organization. Thus, if everything it teaches is true, then it's God's organization (kinda circular, isn't it!?).

But of course, the Watchtower teaches that Christ chose it in 1919 and appointed it over all His belongings. The Watchtower religion of today would be unrecognizable to a Watchtower follower in 1919. As but one example, in 1919 the Watchtower taught that ';Millions now living will never die'; because God was going to resurrect the saints in 1925 and bring the Battle of Armageddon soon after. Thus, any Watchtower follower in 1919 would absolutely scoff at the idea of ';this system'; still going strong 89 years later.

As an aside, I see this poster called ';Desert Rose'; on several R/S threads. She is amusing. She likes to point out that no JWs ever respond to your questions. But she claims to be a JW...doesn't that seem a bit contradictory? People are funny...

The WT is not teaching truth.

The word trinity is not in the bible

so

perhaps the JWs may think this

There is nowhere in the bible is Micheal called Jesus or Jesus called Michael.

This is one of many many errors they teach.

As for your question:

There is one group that belongs to God. This is called the bride of Christ, the Church, the Elect, and so forth.

If the Watchtower changed doctrines and altered teachings to reflect true Christianity it would only be a reflection and not real.

For example antiChrist is that who comes ';instead'; of Christ. This one pretends to be Christ. That would be the Watchtower. Christ means anointed the Governing Body of the JW printing group and legal entity the Watchtower has long pretended to be annointed of God and in this is ';instead of Christ'; or anti Christ.

Jesus states he is the Way and the Watchtower anointed claim to be the way.

Jesus states he is the Truth and the Watchtower claims to be the truth.

Jesus states that he is the Light and the Watchtower claims new light.

Sounds like the words of the bible are true:

Matthew 7:15

Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.
';The Truth'; today according to the Jo Ho's is considerably different than ';the Truth'; 30 or 40 years ago.

So, by their own admission, they once taught what was ';not the Truth';.

';New Light, progressive'; yada, yada, yada. It's true or it isn't.

Jo Ho's will say crap like ';My old encyclopedia's are different from my new ones, because things like science progress.';

Well, that's great, but God didn't write the encyclopedia, nor did anyone claiming to be ';God's channel of Communication'; claim that the old encyclopedia was from God, thru them.

I was always taught the following:

Watchtower, 7/1/69 pg395

';Do you not recall that Jesus, in prophesying of this period of the last days which commenced in 1914, also said: “Truly I say to you, This generation will by no means pass away until all things occur”? (Luke 21:32) People who were only just old enough to understand what was happening to the world in 1914 are now approaching seventy years of age. Yes, the numbers of that generation are dwindling fast, but before they all pass away this system must meet its end in the war of Armageddon. Surely this highlights what a very short time now remains to return to Jehovah.';

That was ';the Truth'; in 1969, but was changed in 1995 and again in I believe 2004.

So, if today, as a Jo Ho I preached the above about the 1914 gen, from the Watchtower, I would not be preaching ';the truth'; and if I didn't shut up, I would be disfellowshipped.

Disfellowshipped for preaching what the Watchtower says......because now ';the Truth'; is differant and the 1969 Watchtower is wrong.

The answer to yoru question is yes.

As an additional point, if the 1914 gen was basically meaningless and God knew it, why did he ';communicate'; the above thru his exclusive channel?

Also, what harm would it have done if the 1914 generation was never mentioned as significant? Why didn't Jehovah give Russell'; the whole truth and nothing but the truth'; right from the get go?

';Hey, the world is going to be destroyed at Armageddon. be on the watch we don't have any idea when, but here are a few ';signs of the end'; from the Bible. Remember, ';No one knows the day or the hour'; except Jehovah';.

For an organization that ';does not serve God with a date in view';, they spew out a whole lot of dates and time periods.

This is a hoot. When the Jo Ho's were ';certain'; about 1975, they quoted this guys book:

Watchtower 2/1/69, page 70:

';More recently, the book entitled “Famine—1975!” by William and Paul Paddock said concerning today’s food shortages, on pages 52, 55 and 61: “Hunger is rampant throughout country after country, continent after continent around the undeveloped belt of the tropics and subtropics. Today’s crisis can move in only one direction—toward catastrophe. Today hungry nations; tomorrow starving nations. . . . By 1975 civil disorder, anarchy, military dictatorships, runaway inflation, transportation breakdowns and chaotic unrest will be the order of the day in many of the hungry nations.”

Why quote this book? Because they were pushing 1975. The Jo Ho lit quotes htis book 4 times before 1975 and then it quietly disappears.

You all remember the 1975 famine? The civil disorder, anarchy, breakdown of transprotation?

EDIT, RICK G: Like most Jo Ho's you confuse the issue.

The membership'; may have misunderstood, but in the case of the Apostles and later the Governing Body in Jerusalem, the Leadership directed and settled disputes.

Jesus never told the Apostles anything and then changed it. The same is so with the Governing Body in Jerusalem. The Witnesses Gov. Body compares themselves to that governing body and claim to be an extension of it. .

What the ';membership'; believes is from the Governing Body. Today they claim to be ';God's exclusive channel of communication';. So, either God is constantly changing his mind or he is allowing his channel to print and teach incorrectly.

How is the change in the understanding of the 1914 generation ';progressive';? That gen is now irrelevant. It's meaningless. How is that ';progressive';? ';God told us it was important but now he changed his mind?';

When I was a Jo Ho, we all looked at the world thru the 1914 paradigm. I was shocked when that suddenly became irrelevant.

The two issues you mentioned about the Jews/circumcision and the Apostles not understanding some things were from their own perspective. Jesus never said that he was establishing his earthly kingdom at that time. Also, the circumcision dispute was simply over weather converted gentiles needed to get circumcised. When answering, the Governing Body in Jerusalem said, “The Holy Spirit and we ourselves…”

The leadership had the answers, unlike the fake Governing Body today, who changes like the wind.

I wonder if any Jo Ho’s today would recognize the truth if they were transported 30 years into the future?

See Curious Jorge below.
God has no organization.

He has 304 denominations, sects and cults; but he has no organization.

Pick up your Bible and try reading it sometime. God was a raging wacko with no organization or coherent plan.

.
I see the Watchtower Organization and it's Apostasy much like the Wizard of OZ !

'; Pay no attention to that Man behind the Curtain ';

They cancel themselves out by their own words, New Light !
I thought the Republic National Convention was God's organization? That's what they think, anyways.
It means that everything they taught in the past that has been wiped out by new light wasn't the truth!
