Is it true if you do something mean to somebody, something bad will happen to you?

This question is the same as 'Is it true if you do something good to somebody, something good will happen to you?

Are they true?Is it true if you do something mean to somebody, something bad will happen to you?
yes

as u sow so shall u reap

but it's depend on us

bcoz we hav face lots of problem but how do we react or face it.just we knowIs it true if you do something mean to somebody, something bad will happen to you?
No, I do not believe so. That is the logistics of karma, if you believe in it's principles, but I myself do not. I have done many bad things without noticing any bad things that happen to me because of it. (actually the bad usaully creates a good) I have done many good things without experiencing any good things in return. I believe it's all based on how in depth you see things.

You could easily steal something, and then blame the next bad thing that happens to you on your cruel actions, but it really has nothing to do with it. I see it the same as superstition. A black cat crosses your path which makes you think that it caused your car accident later that day. What if you never noticed that cat? Then it wouldn't matter, as it's all in your conscious.
If you are bad to others, they probably will be bad to you. Those around you who have been affected by the 'badness' within you, may or may not do bad to you, but they defiantly will think badly of you, even if you are rich and swindle everyone with money and authority, people will come up to you kindly, but deep down they know the bad in you. People who know you will end up not trusting you.

If you are good, then those who know you will be good back, even if you are poor and have nothing to offer, for they realize how much harder it is to be good in such a situation, and thus will be thought of better, but that doesn't prevent you from having bad done upon you, simply that you must be above it and not do bad back.
It certainly is true. If you do something mean, you turn yourself into a mean person; or at least, you strengthen these tendencies within yourself. Being a mean person hurts, doesn't it? Being angry or deceitful actually feels bad while we are in that state. conversely, if we do something good, we feel good - it is its own reward. Actually feeling we love someone and want to help them - that always feels good when it is genuine rather than pretended. All actions strengthen our tendency to do similar actions in the future. So when we do good, we are facing in the direction of happiness.
If bad things can happen to you, they can happen whether or not you did something mean. But if you have a conscience, then more bad can happen than if you did not have one. You can weigh the pros and cons of having a conscience yourself.
Ha! Do you know that the SS officers who pulled the trigger on the Jews in Eastern Europe were mostly good Lutheran boys - probably nice guys when they weren't murdering people...

And after the War was over, they went back to their jobs like nothing happened.... So.... does that suggest that there's any ultimate justice in this world?
what goes around comes around...so they say. can u do someone harm and get away with it? probably once or twice. can you do someone a favor and not get any benefit from it? probably once (or a million times). you dont need me to tell you who always wins in the end. BENEDICT ARNOLD i think
it's all a question of superstition. being superstitious doesn't mean you're right or wrong but more so, that you have certain beliefs w/o fact. (another question, another day). karma. it's proven to be true. i, personally put much faith in it.
something bad will happen to you, but it is unrelated to anything you did to anybody else

bad stuff happens,

it doesnt mean it is karma
There is no fact that states this happening. It is said, ';You reap what you sow.'; Which means if you do bad things, you're going to get bad things. Just try not to do bad things.
Yes. But we cannot say when the response will come. It may be instantaneous if the gravity or intensity of action is severe. Otherwise it takes its own time duration.
I absoloutley agree with the first answer.

But then , if you do something mean something will get back at you.

Karma %26amp; the guilt factor.
ummmmmmm... i think bad things will happen regardless, but all the same... who wants to take a chance, huh???
And if you put teeth under your pillow, some babe will come by, take the tooth and give you money
In Australia, the boomerang you throw always returns to the sender?
i dont believe in this theory at all. sometimes, its the good people who suffer the most.
Yep. God makes sure of it.
