It's definitely a put down to blondes, and frankly I think it must have started becuase of ';bottle blondes'; - those who aren't truly blonde but wanted to be.


Light hair is a recessive trait, not dominant, so there are fewer natural blondes out there than are those with dark hair.





But anyway, it's stupid stereotype, perpetuated by the movies and people who think it's funny.
