im sorry, i cant confused really easy, and i wanted to know if philinus being pragmatic was good or not, in the terms of history. would that be a compliment? What does this mean? '; philinus was the true paragon of ';pragmatic historiography';?
Start from the back (history) and move forward:
1. History, pragmatic- As a concept, it has no value representation one way or the other (good or bad). By attaching 'pragmatic' to it, the meaning seems to be a pragmatic understanding of the lessons history can offer. This would be of positive value.
2. Paragon, true- Therefore the true paragon is the upholder of the practical lessons history can offer.
3. Philinus- Has received a compliment.
