is it the original? What does true certfied copies mean? i need to send one of my birth cert?
It's the one you get from the ONS (Office of National Statistics) or the local register office where you were born. It can be a copy, as long as it's done by them, officially. What does true certfied copies mean? i need to send one of my birth cert?
It is the copy that you / your parents were given when you were born, or any subsequent copy that you may have bought though the ONS or the registrar's office covering the are where you were born. I think the full certificates are around 拢7.50 at the moment. It is called a copy because the originals are at the ONS and the registrar's office and are in books, rather than loose sheets of paper.
A true certified copy is NOT a photocopy that has been signed by a 'notary' to say that they have seen the original!
A certified copy is a photocopy of a filed document, legal or other, in its entirety (everything within a staple) that is sworn to be a true copy by a court clerk or solicitor. If the staple is removed then the copy loses its certified status.
As part of ';know your customer'; banking regulations most financial institutions now require a certified copy of a passport when new accounts are opened. This would normally entail a copy of the pages containing one's name, photograph, passport number and date of birth.
You need to contact your state office for records. They print up a copy of your birth certificate and then give it their official seal. Will cost a few bucks but not bad
Certified Copies are photocopies with a fresh solicitor's signature on each copy.
i think a true certified copy means it has to be the original document! make sure you make a copy of it before sending and send it by recorded delivery to make sure it gets there!!!!
No it means that you need to get a public notary to sign a copy to say they have seen the original and it is exactly the same.
