What does ';Whatsoever things are true'; mean?

From the passage:

Whatsoever things are true,

Whatsoever things are noble,

Whatsoever things are just,

Whatsoever things are pure,

Whatsoever things are amiable,

Whatsoever things are of good report;

If there be any virtue and if any praise,

Think on these things.

Holy Bible, Philippians: 4-8What does ';Whatsoever things are true'; mean?
Those who would not fall a prey to Satan鈥檚 devices must guard well the avenues of the soul; they must avoid reading, seeing, or hearing that which will suggest impure thoughts. The mind must not be left to dwell at random upon every subject that the enemy of souls may suggest. The heart must be faithfully sentineled, or evils without will awaken evils within, and the soul will wander in darkness.

Whatsoever things are true; therefore we should not dwell on lies, fiction and that which suggests impurity.What does ';Whatsoever things are true'; mean?
