No, actually the theory states that anything that has been created must have a creator. It's the idea that physical things have been created, based on all observable laws of science and nature. It doesn't negate the idea that a spiritual power could exist outside of nature who is responsible for that first act of physical creation. It's really not that drastically different a principle than what scientists keep inventing to try to explain away things they observe. Things like the multiverse theory that says there are many universes and one just spawns other universes, or the life came from space theory. They just push creation out further, even though it contradicts observation.
