Im an Asc. Leo but it says my True Node. is a Virgo.....also...can someone explain what the whole ';planet in each house'; thing is? Its confusingWhat does True Node mean in my Natal Chart?
Have you seen an astrological chart? It looks like a wheel with spokes dividing it into 12 areas. Starting on the left in the middle, these are the houses in your chart. That house on the left in the middle is the first house, your ascendant. Then the signs continue around moving down and around, the 2nd house will have the next sign after your asc sign. You have Leo rising, on the asc, so the next sign will be Virgo on the line between the 1st and 2nd. These lines of demarcation are called cusps. On the cusp of the next house, the 3rd you should have Libra. And then it continues around. The Midheaven or MC is the cusp of the 10th house at the top of your chart. Each of the house signs have numbers with them, degrees and minutes. This is the location within the sign-every sign has 30 degrees in it. Looking at your planets, you will see those numbers with the sign it is in. This is the location of the planet within the sign. When a planet is in a degree larger than the cusp number it is situated to the right of the cusp. (in the house) If the number is smaller than the cusp, it is located to the left of the cusp so it is in the prior house. So this is how planets are in houses. What house a planet is in aids the interpretation of the planet's meaning. Now, the True node is the same as North node and Asc node. This is a point in your chart that describes symbolically your purpose in this life, what you should be looking at and striving to perfect. Your node in Virgo would indicate that it is important to your life that you learn to discriminate and examine things and people. This means to not just believe everything told you or everyone you meet. You must learn to evaluate the facts, not the emotions of a situation and make your descisions based on that. Same with people in your life, look at them in an unemotional way, their positive and negative traits and weigh their effect on you and whether that effect is helpful to you or draws you back in your goals or dreams. Which house the node is in tells you where you should be applying this lesson.
