The true meaning of christmas and the holidays-what is your perspective on true meaning of christmas. What is the true meaning of christmas mean to you?
It's the only time of the year that my entire family gets together and forgets all issues they may have about one another. We actually act like a family and are peaceful. The presents are nice, yes. However, for me, nothing beats drinking cider with someone you want to hit for the rest of the year.
:)What is the true meaning of christmas mean to you?
I was raised in the catholic faith so the true meaning of Christmas to me is the birth of Christ, but then again, it has never been proved that Christ was actually born on Christmas day. Still he was born and if people decided to celebrate it on December 25 because the pagans back then were celebrating the solstice or the return of the Sun as opposed to the sun......well that's OK with me.
Our church sings Happy Birthday to Jesus. Of course, His birthday wasn't really Dec 25, but that's the day they chose to recognize it.
Beyond that, of course there are the presents, the dinner, the cookies, etc. This year, the best part was that there was not one single cross word said by anyone. That house was filled with love. Every one of us had a great day.
i do love getting presents. i do love giving presents. but i have to go with the classic spending time with family.
I'm not going to lie it's all about the presents. Anyone who says otherwise obviously gets crappy **** lol.
