How can i calculate the true mean simply from the mean and the standard deviation?

serum albumin measured in 100 pts the data with normal distribution the mean was 24 sd was 4 so the true mean ??...How can i calculate the true mean simply from the mean and the standard deviation?
You use a confidence interval. There is no way to calculate the true mean, all you can do is give an interval that is probably lies in and the certainty that it lies in that interval. Its fairly complicated to explain and really your teacher should be the one doing it.

Here's the answer with very little explanation:

95% confidence interval, true mean=X

23.216%26lt;X%26lt;24.784
