Where does the Book of Mormon teach that Jesus Christ is God Almighty?
Jesus Christ is the literal SON of God. And the Book of Mormon testifies of this fact.
No, believing the Book of Mormon is true doesn't mean that same person will believe the church is also true. BUT, it sort of is a domino effect in a way - IF you believe the Book of Mormon IS true, then most likely that means Joseph Smith really DID see God and Jesus, translate the Book, and restore the gospel.
I am sure there are people who believe the Book but not the church.
I know them both to be 100% true.Would believing that The Book of Mormon is true mean that the LDS Church was true?
Yes, they called Him Lord and God...Christ is ';a'; God - a member of the Godhead. He is also called the Prince of Peace and King of Kings. He has many names. One does not trump nor discount the other. He is also called the Son of God AND the Son of Man. I will enjoy the Celelestial Kingdom.

There are actually only 27 sects(Meaning rooted with Mormonism, ones that actually still identity as Mormons is more like 18). The ones rooted with LDS in Utah tend to have pretty much the same beliefs, with a few differences(polygamy being one) and most still consider the LDS church to be the true church, just they don't agree with church leadership.
The ones based in missiouri are small with only a few hundred to a few thousand members except the Community of Christ which has hundreds of thousands of members.
100 sects of mormonism? Really? Where did you get this information from? I would like to see it. I know of only 12 - and that is really stretching it.
If the BoM is true, then the LDS church is true. If you compare it to early christianity - right after Christ's life.....it matches. The LDS believe in Christ's divinity - they do not believe in trinity. Trinity is a philosophical idea put forth by the Nicene Council 325 years after Christ - doesn't that fit into those scriptures.......
Deut. 4: 2
Ye shall not add unto the word which I command you, neither shall ye diminish ought from it, that ye may keep the commandments of the Lord your God which I command you.
Rev. 22: 18
For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book:
just mho I guess
If you receive revelation that the Book of Mormon is true, I think that the fact that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is the true church follows from pretty simple logic. For example the Bible tells us that the true Church is not an organization of contention. Rebelling against the larger Church body as other sects have done is clearly contentious, whereas the character of LDS relationships with splinter groups has been very compassionate.
But the bottom line is that if you really have trouble choosing between Mormon sects, the same Holy Spirit that reveals the truth of the book, can reveal the true church.
There are 100 different Mormon sects and 50,000 Christian sects in the world.
The difference is that when you say ';LDS Church'; everyone thinks of one church, not one of 100 churches. The only notable one was the RLDS which is now the community of Christ and has rejected the cannonical status of the Book of Mormon so they don't even apply.
With all of your other mormon sects holding a combined total of about 0.8% of the main LDS population do you really think that people are confused?
You're reaching way to hard on this one.
No, believing in the Book of Mormon doesn't prove anything. It's just a choice some people make.
I believe in the Bible and I insist that Christianity is the true church, but that doesn't prove anything except that I have faith.
what you believe does not prove anything. like the world is flat kinda stuff or man didn't really walk on the moon. and it don't really mater . what can you do about it anyway. enjoy life and leave the driving to us .
The LDS church believes that Christ is the God of the Old Testament--even Jehovah the great I AM.
He is God.
This is what the Bible teaches.
This is what all the LDS scriptures teach.(Book of Mormon, Doctrine and Covenants)
Believing something dose not make it true
People used to believe the earth was flat and that the sun revolved around it .
Oh there are not that many different break-off groups from the LDS church. Maybe like, five.
And you're obnoxious and repetitive.
Not necessarily.
Mormons can be Christians based on their being born again, and the BOM has nothing to do with it.
According to them, believing the Book of Mormon is true is the cornerstone of entry into the church. Once investigators have prayed and gotten that toasty feeling inside then they're supposed to be baptized into the church. As far as the different sects go it all depends on where you believe the line of authority went after Joseph Smith died. For example, mainstream LDS believe it went to Brigham Young, but RLDS believe it went to Joseph's son, Joseph.
Of course, the fact that Joseph made the whole thing up by borrowing ideas from Ethan Smith and Emanual Swedenborg never enters the conversation.
How many sex did you say there was?
